Women and Poverty

According to Robyn Woolley WAIG Convenor, “It’s vital that those of us who live in relative comfort and peace, understand the experiences of other less fortunate women and look for ways of supporting them where we can. Raising awareness as this speaking series will do, is one step in achieving this. We encourage women to come along and learn about the situation faced by women and girls throughout the world. We are sure that they will be moved and inspired by the courage that these women show under difficult circumstances.”
